ABOUT THE EVENT

This free conference will offer referrals, resources, and research to assist those suffering from opioid use disorders and are justice involved.

Panels will feature:

* Personal and professional experiences with opioid use disorders and medication-assisted treatment.
* Practices to address opioid use disorders with justice-involved individuals.
* Medication-assisted treatment at each criminal justice intercept point.

Plus free, pre-conference naloxone training from 8:30am-9:15am.

CEUs & CLEs available! Please register with full first and last name in order to be considered for these credits.

Police chiefs, officers, sheriffs, probation and court services staff, jail administrators and corrections staff, healthcare and behavioral health providers, students, and the public.

Josiah D. Rich, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Rich is a professor of medicine and epidemiology at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University, a practicing infectious disease specialist at The Miriam Hospital Immunology Center, and director and co-founder of The Center for Prisoner Health and Human Rights at The Miriam Hospital.
 
Ross MacDonald, M.D.
Dr. MacDonald is chief of medicine and assistant vice president for the NYC Health + Hospital's Division of Correctional Health Services, overseeing the provision of medical care for the 60,000 patients incarcerated annually in the NYC jail system.

Created in 1983, the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority is a state agency dedicated to improving the administration of criminal justice. The Authority brings together key leaders from the justice system and the public to identify critical issues facing the criminal justice system in Illinois, and to propose and evaluate policies, programs, and legislation that address those issues. The agency also works to ensure the criminal justice system in Illinois is efficient and effective. The Authority’s specific powers and duties are detailed in the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Act [20 ILCS 3930 et. seq.].
