The Creative Writer with Dr Rachel Knightley
Thursdays 29 June – Thursday 20 July
What if you could guarantee for your writing:
– the inspiration that gets you started,
– the confidence that keeps you going,
_ the knowledge and techniques that support your story,
– and the time that will get from 'work in progress' to 'the end'?
Develop your technique and your confidence and narrow the gap between what you see in your head and what you see on the page with this summer introductory course to Dr Rachel Knightley's new programme, The Creative Writer. Designed by a published fiction and non-fiction author and qualified business and personal coach, The Creative Writer is the place to take your writing to the next level.
Dr Rachel Knightley is a fiction and non-fiction author, academic, presenter and writing and confidence coach. She has a background in directing and performing, and works with adults, teenagers and children in communication and performance – from confidence building, auditions and interview technique to fiction, memoir and speechwriting. Rachel’s new short story collection, Twisted Branches, will be published in October 2023 (the first, Beyond Glass, was published in 2021). She has written and presented documentary features for Starburst magazine, Indicator Films, Second Sight Films, Severin Films and presents The Writers' Gym podcast. Her non-fiction includes Your Creative Writing Toolkit (Green Ink Writers' Gym) and the GCSE Drama Study and Revision Guide (Illuminate/Hodder Education). She is a qualified coach (Barefoot Coaching/Chester University) and, in addition to her PhD, holds a LAMDA diploma in Speech and Drama Education, a PGCert in Teaching Creative Writing from Cambridge University. www.rachelknightley.com
