Description

Workshop

The creative/innovative process is messy. It requires authenticity and vulnerability, while being a process that is frustrating and joyful and risky and inspiring. It often results in people giving up on their dreams.

But you know what? It often looks and feels like this, for everybody. You're not doing it wrong!

In this workshop we will unpack what the creative process looks like, why it looks this way and how to continue to push towards your own creative goals.

The 'Flea Factory' Team

Richard Sharp
People fascinate me. Our capacity to create is what makes us uniquely human. I believe that all of us were born with the ability to create, to love and to be loved. Over the past 20 years I have committed my life to investing in people and building teams. I am passionate about creativity, innovation and the pursuit of new ideas, in my own life and others.

I've worked at a petrol station, a nuts and bolt shop, as a cleaner, taught guitar and eventually ended up as the CEO of a large national organisation. I've experienced personal 'burnout' and never want to experience it again. It's often only through these moments that you learn to live with healthy rhythms, balance and honestly embrace your own vulnerability.

I believe that questions are extremely powerful when asked well, they can unlock our ability to grow personally, creatively and professionally. I enjoy nothing more than coaching young leaders, artists and creative thinkers. I have been a singer/songwriter for over 22 years, and I continue to perform locally. I believe 'music is what emotions sound like'.

Michael Henderson
Overgrown lawns make me smile: to me, they are a symbol of freedom in a carefully controlled world. Above everything else, I have a deep desire to help people and see them be the best they can be. It is the fuel that drives me. I am a good rookie, a fast learner and quick adapter to any problem. And, I have over 23 years experience developing leaders, teams and especially creatives.

I continue to lead (47+1), an installation art group, and a large not-for-profit organisation. I have been in many exhibitions for animation (NSW Film & Television Office Young Filmmaker Award), sculpture (Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi), painting and drawing, short story writing and poetry.
