The Crate Gotham Challenge: Holiday Edition

This December, teams around the globe will have specially prepared puzzle crates delivered to their doors, stocked full of holiday gifts, treats, ephemera... and puzzles, in order to compete in THE CRATE GOTHAM CHALLENGE: HOLIDAY EDITION!

This challenge represents some of our favorite take-home clues that we've developed for private clients over the past two years, bundled together for the first time and available for the public in a festive, holiday-themed package. Ideal for your friends or family, bought as a gift or for yourself, to give that lazy lull between Christmas and New Year's a jolt of competition.

As in all GGCs, sleuths in teams of two to four will test their wits in a battle of code-breaking, puzzling, riddle-solving, and of course, googling. Challengers will be sent puzzle crates for use in the challenge and - upon opening crates at the commencement of the challenge - will be met with a series of tactile puzzles, the answer to each unlocking the next. The first team to complete the challenge and arrive at the virtual finish line will be awarded the grand prize.

Due to the demanding nature of logistics for this challenge, it's imperative all seekers of puzzles and goodwill read the following information closely.

Entry:

• Admission for one team of four includes one crate. This will also include your team's link to the event starting line. Purchase price includes domestic shipping to the continental US.
• This challenge is designed to require at least two, ideally three people to solve, at minimum.
• No discounts for multiple crates shipped to the same address.
• Early Bird pricing will be the lowest price we're offering for this public challenge. There will be no Black Friday discount. Sales will end in early December, and a limited number of teams may participate in this challenge, so reserve your spot early.

Shipping:

• We anticipate crates will deliver between December 15 and December 23. Please enter a shipping address where you will be able to receive your crate(s), and have it on hand the day of the challenge. You will receive an email confirmation and tracking number once your crate ships.
• International shipping via FedEx is available for $30 / crate.

Additional Crates:

• Team members are not required to be in the same physical space; we encourage virtual collaboration, and you may purchase up to 3 additional crates for up to 3 remote teammates.
• If all puzzlers are in the same location, one crate is all that is needed. However, additional crates will allow more people to be active participants, even in the same space, and the crates are chock full of souvenirs and gifts of which your team may want duplicates.
• Additional crates may be ordered at any time, and do not need to be "added" to your team in any way.

Challenge Details:

• This will be slightly longer than a typical Great Gotham Challenge due to the quantity of clues, however the difficulty is estimated as slightly easier. Plan on four+ hours of solid gameplay! If you do not finish within the "live" segment of the game, the game will remain open for several days for those who wish to puzzle at a leisurely pace.
