In partnership with Prevention Institute, The Courage Conference brings together professionals and laypersons from family and criminal court, practitioners, caregivers, community members, policy makers, researchers and other stakeholders to highlight best and promising practices in community-based prevention and intervention programs and services, and open dialogue on how to better serve child victims of trauma.
Keynote speaker Jane Dickel, an LCSW from Napa, specializes in treatment of traumatized children. Ms Dickel is the former therapist of kidnapping victim Jaycee Dugard and serves on the Advisory Board for the JAYC Foundation, founded by Ms. Dugard.
