Is there a dresscode?

You are the visuals: no costume or artistic display, no entry.  No images or language that creates a hostile or intimidating environment based on any protected class or consistently marginalized groups at the discretion of the organizers.

Is it okay to accessorize my costume with real weapons?

Accepted Answer

No. Real or functioning weapons including guns/firearms, swords, pyrotechnics, fire starters, and/or any items designed or deemed to potentially cause harm or destruction,  potentially hazardous or harmful to other attendees are prohibited.

What is the photography and videography release?

By attending The Cosplayers Ball, you acknowledge and agree that you may be photographed or otherwise recorded. Your presence constitutes your voluntary consent for the event organizers to use your image, voice, and likeness in any and all media without further notice or approval.

What is the injury/covid-19 waiver?

You acknowledge and agree that you understand there are risks of personal injury or illness associated with the event, including but not limited to exposure to infectious diseases (such as COVID-19) and bodily injury and accept full responsibility for any any medical expenses or insurance coverage.

Is the venue accessible to wheelchairs/assistive devices? What sensory info do I need to know?

The venue is on one level. There is free, easily accessible parking in the adjacent lot. There are no stairs. The sidewalks leading to the venue are somewhat uneven. There is some parking that requires you to cross a street. There will be loud music and there may be flashing or strobe lighting.
