Join Dr. Elijah Anderson as he discusses his concept of the urban island of civility that exists amidst the ghettos and suburbs, and the ethnic enclaves where segregation is the norm. Anderson's path-breaking book provides a new understanding of the complexities of today's race relations.

Join the Metropolitan Policy Center on Tuesday, November 28th, 2017 from 12-1:30pm at American University's Kerwin Hall, Room 301. The event space can be accessed by navigating to 4400 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20016 and is located on the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Nebraska Avenue.
