Description

The Consummate Flutist 2017 is an inspirational masterclass for advanced high school, college and professional flutists. Daily masterclasses for performers will focus on standard repertoire and orchestral excerpts. In addition, workshops and lectures will focus on many aspects of flute fundamentals and career planning, including performance and audition techniques and strategies for being a successful student and beyond! All levels of flutists, including adult amateurs, are invited to attend as participants with access to the faculty in all classes and mini-lessons.

Masterclass PERFORMERS: Perform in large group performer masterclasses, attend all masterclasses, workshops and lectures

Audition required for NEW performers: Send a link to a high quality video or audio recording demonstrating your current abilities. Preferred: One movement or complete solo from the standard solo repertoire and two orchestral excerpts. Youtube or Soundcloud preferred. Audio mp3s also accepted.

Performers from previous TCF classes do not need to audition. Simply fill out the application form below by the appropriate deadline.

Non-refundable application fee applies: Early - $20, Regular - $30, Late - $40

Lesson PARTICIPANTS: No application necessary - Perform in participant masterclasses, private mini-lessons, attend all masterclasses, workshops and lectures.

One-Day Young Participant: 7th-11th grade students, includes one mini-lesson plus one-day pass

AUDITORS: No applcation necessary - attend all masterclasses, workshops and lectures

Extra 30 minute lesson: limited availability
