Event description

The Contemporary Jewish Museum invites you to Express Yourself at the 2018 Family Gala!

Inspired by the current exhibitions Veiled Meanings: Fashioning Jewish Dress, from the Collection of The Israel Museum, Jerusalem and Lew the Jew and His Circle: Origins of American Tattoo, this year’s theme encourages you and your family to Express Yourself! From clothing and textiles from around the world to tattoos from New York’s Lower East Side, both exhibitions highlight adornment, fashion statements, and cultural expression. Tonight, we invite you to Express Yourself through imaginative art-making, interactive games, extraordinary entertainment, and of course, dancing!

The Family Gala is a time for kids, parents, grandparents, and friends to come together for a night of celebration as The Museum transforms into a spectacular setting for dance performances, art-making, interactive games, and fun!

Proceeds from the Family Gala support The Contemporary Jewish Museum’s award-winning education, family, and access programs, which bring Jewish art and ideas to more than 20,000 visitors each year.
