The Circle of Security® Parenting Series

At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what their child might need from them. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.
This workshop 8 session workshop is intended for expectant parents and parents of newborns through five years old; however parents of any age children will gain insight through the program.
Dates: April 6 through May 25, 2017 (8 Thursdays), 5:15pm-7pm
Debbie Duncan, LMFT; RPT-S, has more than 20 years of experience working with children. She has taught, mentored, and consulted in areas of child therapy and early intervention. Debbie is endorsed as an Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist/Reflective Practice Mentor, and is a Registered Play Therapist/Supervisor.
Chris Weatherby, LMFT, has more than 20 years of experience working with children and parents in mental health and educational settings. She has a passion for supporting parents and children in developing happy and healthy relationships.
Learning Objectives of the Training:
• Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs
• Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions and promote secure attachment
• Enhance the development of your child's self esteem
• Honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure

Many parents would find this course to be very beneficial. However, this seminar is not a substitute for psychotherapy. If you or your child has had a history of trauma or mental health issues, please participate in psychotherapy before participating is this type of workshop.
