Event description

Description

Joseph Jenner (KCL Film Studies, PhD) will be welcoming Dr Dario Llinares (University of Brighton) for an episode of The Cinematologists podcast on February 20th at King's College London. We will be screening and discussing Alfonso Cuarón's apocalyptic science-fiction film Children of Men (2006).

For those of you who may not have heard of The Cinematologists, it was formed in early 2015 by film scholars Dario Llinares and Neil Fox, and is a podcast and film club that aims to bring fans, filmmakers, critics and academics together to watch, discuss and engage with cinema of all forms, genres and eras.

After a short introduction to the film, there will be a screening of Children of Men followed by a Q&A session with Dario which will then be opened up to the audience. It would be wonderful if you could take a break from your busy schedules to come and participate in what promises to be an interesting discussion about a topical film - do mark it in your diaries.

The event takes place in the Nash Lecture Theatre (K 2.31)

The event is free but you must register.
