Event description

The Chronicle of Social Change is the only national news outlet that has consistently covered the sweeping Family First Prevention Services Act, signed earlier this year.

In fact, Chronicle Editor-in-Chief John Kelly has been at it for years. (Just take a look at this story from 2013 that describes the deep roots of child welfare finance reform and Family First.)

Through our reporting, we have come to understand that people across the country have serious questions about how this dramatic change to how foster care is financed will be implemented. To that end, the aforementioned Kelly and Chronicle Publisher Daniel Heimpel will host a webinar to discuss what they know about the law and how states are reacting. We may very well invite a special guest or two.

The webinar will go down at 10:00 AM PST on Dec. 13. Details will be sent to registered attendees a few days prior to the event.

If you can, we suggest you make a donation of $10.00. The Chronicle is part of something called NewsMatch, which means that any donation you make will be doubled – allowing us to keep up our coverage of federal child welfare policy.

If you donate $51.99 we will give you an annual subscription (normally $79.95) to The Chronicle where you can access stories like these:

Hope to hear from you on Dec. 13.
