The Chicago Track: An Industry School for Film and Music
The Chicago Track: An industry school for film and music, hosted by Young Chicago Authors, Free Spirit Media, and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, is a professional development and networking series of monthly workshops and events. The Chicago Track sessions expose participants, ages 18 – 25, to industry leaders in creative fields, the history of music and film in Chicago, and the skills and strategies to prepare for employment. Participants get a behind-the-scenes look at these two growing industries in order to walk away with a broader understanding of the kinds of jobs available within them. Participants receive mentoring, skill development, and hands on support as they create the tools to promote themselves as artists, engineers, or producers. If you are a young person interested in any element of the film or music industry, register at www.thechicagotrack.eventbrite.com for more information and follow us on Twitter @CHI_TRACK
