Event description

Description

TCS resident composer Aaron Dai presents the world premiere of Early Morning Walk to open both nights on the April concert series. Saturday's concert welcomes back violinist Jenn Ahn as featured soloist, performing a perennial favorite, the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. The second half features two 20th-century classics: Stravinsky's Dumbarton Oaks and the Prokofiev "Classical Symphony."

Conducted by Mark Seto and Reuben Blundell

TCS's eleventh season "Flight Paths" features music written by composers who have visited or immigrated to the United States of America. This season celebrates the diversity of musicians who have been inspired by, and made their mark on, this land we call home.
