A Deep Look into the Future of Biology: The Changing Climate of Our Natural World

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020, 4:30-6 p.m.

Please join the Division of Biological Sciences as we celebrate our 60th anniversary in 2020. Our new “A Deep Look into the Future of Biology,” series will be moderated by Dean Kit Pogliano in Tata Hall’s Kavli Auditorium and live streamed for those who cannot attend in person. The format for each event will be four short, impactful presentations followed by a panel discussion.

This event is free and open to the public. Complimentary parking will be available near Tata Hall at 4pm. Event will start promptly at 4:30pm. A post-event reception with light refreshments will follow. Further details will be emailed to attendees as the event nears.

Speakers to include Heather Henter, David Holway, Chandler Puritty ’19, Julian Schroeder

In celebration of Earth Day 2020, biologists will offer a range of perspectives on how the climate and other forces are changing our natural world. From novel insights in understanding drought tolerance under rising carbon dioxide conditions to new ways of viewing nature in your home town (and even your backyard), these perspectives offer new views of understanding and conserving Planet Earth.
