Event description
Becca Rodomsky-Bish from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology will speak on how to help birds in our backyards or any property we can influence.

About this event

What differences can we make in our yards or on any property in our communities that we might influence to help birds? We have invited Becca Rodomsky-Bish, a Project Leader for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, to visit us via Zoom to share images and ideas on this topic.

In this presentation we'll discuss why birds are in decline and how native habitat can be a part of the solution in bringing back their populations. Individual property owners and communities can take active steps to strategically choose plants that help support resident and migrating birds. This simple action can go a long way in helping to revive our declining bird populations around North America. For this talk we'll be focusing on plants and native habitats in the northeastern United States.
