The Cats of Los Angeles
Event Information
About this Event
The Los Angeles Breakfast Club is bringing friendship to Zoom! Join us on Zoom for our 95-year-old traditions, songs, and silliness, followed by a presentation by Dr. Paul Koudounaris about the Cats of Los Angeles.
**Note the new start time** Going forward our meetings will begin promptly at 8:00am.
Dr. Paul Koudounaris is an award-winning author and photographer. His three books about the visual culture of death have made him a well-known figure in the history of macabre art. But he is also an expert in feline history. His recently published book A Cat's Tale, co-authored by his rescue cat and internationally known cosplay model Baba, retells history from a feline perspective. The combination of historical research, costumed cat photos, and narrative placed in a feline voice has caused Smithsonian to laud it as the most unique cat book ever written. He has a particular fondness for historical stories about cats from Los Angeles, both his (and Baba's) hometown.
**Note the new start time** Our meetings begin promptly at 8:00am. After the program's conclusion at 9:00am , remain in the Zoom as long as you like to chat and make new friends! Your $5 ticket helps our historic club thrive! Thank you in advance for joining us!
