Description

The Catalyst Creative Leadership Challenge

A Workshop Series to Enhance Board-Staff Vision, Leadership, and Impact

Sponsored by Catalyst International www.catalystinternational.net

Join a mosaic of practical dreamers, unconventional thinkers, and artistic leaders for a unique experience that opens minds, stretches thinking, creates new possibilities, and develops a positive game plan and achievement strategy for nonprofit missions and leadership performance.

Dreams and hopes are starting points for human achievement. Such aspirations open the mind and build excitement. Yet, they alone do not create results. There must also be a game plan and dynamic action to realize those dreams. The Catalyst Challenge provides the framework and expert coaching to achieve organizational success and encourages and supports personal leadership development.

Creative Projects for Each Team:

1) a New Organizational Project that demonstrates creative thinking and accelerated action that distinctly expands nonprofit outreach and impact

2) a Developmental Self-Leadership Project (for each team member) that involves new individual behavioral goals necessary to inspire and achieve the organizational project

Expectations:

  • Teams are comprised of between 3 to 5 board AND staff members in any combination
  • Board members must be directly involved with creating, developing, and implementing both organization and leadership goal projects, encouraging breakthrough thinking throughout the nonprofit
  • Teams encouraged to provide input to other nonprofit team projects
  • Team attendance at all sessions is essential to optimize learning and project success
  • Limited Space Available, Team Members must be able to attend all sessions.
  • Participation fee sponsored by Catalyst International

Program Timeline:

  • Session 1 (July 27, 9:00am - 12:00pm): The Catalyst Leader: Development, Craft, Artistry confronts societal conditioning; discusses factors blocking creative thinking; leverages time and effort; and enhances standards of excellence.

  • Session 2 (August 17, 9:00am - 12:00pm): Nonprofit Design and Self-Leadership Goals guides teams to develop, refine, and initiate challenging projects with board members and executives playing meaningful roles in designing and accomplishing all project goals.

  • Session 3 (September 28, 9:00am - 12:00pm): Feedback, Clarity, Inspiration serves as an opportunity to push creative thinking to an even deeper level.

  • Session 4 (October 26, 9:00am - 1:00pm): Catalyst Project Presentations showcases how the nonprofit teams rose to the challenge, including sharing stories and data confirming how new projects were envisioned and objectives achieved. Teams will describe outcomes and leadership insights that apply and have been incorporated into the organizational mission and operations.
