The Case of Josephine H. is part of the Polish Filmmakers NYC's NEW VOICES, ANCIENT ECHOES: POLISH WOMEN IN FILM series.
In The Case of Josephine H., the international multimedia artist Izabella Gustowska tells the explosive story of Josephine, wife of the famous American painter Edward Hopper. The film is an experimental search for traces of Josephine in contemporary New York City, told in flashes of recollections and images that transform the city into a landscape of memory.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Izabella Gustowska.

Polish Filmmakers NYC
Polish Filmmakers NYC is devoted to bringing the best in Polish cinema past and present to New York City audiences. Since 2012, the organization has hosted regular and special screenings, including the New York premiere of Andrej Wadja's Walesa: Man of Hope and our annual Polish Women in Film series.
The 2014 Polish Women in Film Series: New Voices, Ancient Echoes will be held from November 7th to 9th at the Tribeca Film Center. It will kick off with an invitation-only opening night at the Museum of Modern Art on November 6th.
