This virtual collaborative will bring together parents with children who are deaf and hard of hearing and professionals who provide services for these families to bring about a deeper understanding of the emotional journey and the impact of empathy.

Parents will gain resources to help them better navigate the journey and the systems of services available to their families.

Professionals will gain a deeper sensitivity of the emotional journey and examine the possibility that empathy can be taught/learned at a deeper level for professionals in effort to enhance sensitivity to the emotional journey of families with children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

The platform of use will be Zoom. A link will be provided to the registered email addresses prior to the event.

Interpreting services can be provided if indicated within the registration prior to March 4, 2021.
