Event description

The Cancer Patient Symposium is about empowering patients with information for their emotional and physical healing. Adriano Leto is a entreprenuer and documentary maker who was diagnosed with cancer in January 2016 and 'given' a year to live. He co-founed the Covert Cancer Crew, a cancer patient support group, and is passionate about the concept of 'informed consent'. All too often cancer patients are driven into extreme interventions before they have time to think and inform themselves more broadly. Even if you have been on the cancer trail for months or years there is always more to learn. Creating a community that regularly meets is also our aim since the cancer journey can be a lonely one. The experience of others is one of the most powerful ways to accelerate our learning and understanding. We have a lot to learn from each other as well as professionals.

This symposium is for people who want to inform themselves of their cancer options or want to find preventative treatments for cancer and other metabolic dieseases. Since cancer will affect all of us directly or indirectly you are welcome even if you don't have cancer.

The ticket prices start from £86 but we are also giving discounts on tickets for two, to encourage carer and family participation. There is also a ticket for four which gives one free ticket to people who want to organise groups. We hope that gets some people out there networking and connecting as well as allowing people with limited financial resources to attend.

The speakers are people Adriano has had the good fortune to meet and experience directly and whom he thinks would be beneficial for you. They represent a balance between medicinal and emotional healing. You may choose to make them part of your medical support team too. They are astonishing and heroic people doing fabulous work.
