Cowans Ford Hydro Stationtour Duke Energy’s largest conventional hydro station on the largest man made body of water in North Carolina. Comprised of four generating units capable of producing 325 net MW of energy. (Max number for tour = 20. Estimated tour conclusion @ 4:00 pm)

Environmental Laboratory - tour Duke Energy’s nationally certified laboratory which provides analytical chemistry related services to the corporation. The lab is staffed by more than 40 Scientists and Technicians who process approximately a half million tests each year. (Max number for tour = 20. Estimated tour conclusion @ 4:00 pm)

McGuire Nuclear Stationtour one of Duke Energy’s six nuclear facilities. McGuire is a 700 acre site comprised of two units producing more than 2300 MW of low carbon energy. Operating at a high level of security every day, McGuire has been a staple in the community with more than 30 years of safe and reliable operations. (Max number for tour = 12. Note: Individuals signing up for tours will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. All individuals attending a tour must dress appropriately for an industrial setting – long pants, covered toe shoes, comfortable for walking on uneven surfaces.
