Are you planning to attend The Business of Beer on October 17th? Would you like to see some of those craft breweries up close and personal? The Food and Agribusiness Institute invites you to join us for the Business of Beer Brewery Tour on October 19th!
We will depart Santa Clara's campus from in front of Vari Hall (the Arts and Sciences Building) on the right side of the circle in a chartered bus at 12:30 pm, arriving first to San Jose's own Strike Brewing Co. Taproom and Brewery. Since 2011, Strike Brewing has provided some of San Jose's most excellent brews to the masses. With our friend Jenny Lewis at the helm as co-founder and CEO, Strike aims to provide beers for people with a healthy, active lifestyle. Even with relatively low alcohol and calorie content, Strike beer never sacrifices flavor!
Next, the shuttle will take us to Gordon Biersch Brewing Co's brewery, one of the longest running in San Jose, and easily the largest. Gordon Biersch has a rich local history, and a record of success. Their beers are distributed around the world. At both Strike and Gordon Biersch will we have private guided tours of their brewing facilities and storehouses, followed by tastings of their reserve batches.
Please note this, event is only for attendees over 21. IDs will be checked before we get on the bus.
