About this Event

How many times have you thought about writing a book? But there's something that's stopped you from moving forward.

Writing a book is difficult—and ensuring it is a profitable part of your business and brand can seem daunting.

On October 10th we invite you to attend The Business of Becoming of an Author. You'll have an opportunity to meet with the Publish Your Purpose Press (PYP) team, a local CT-based publishing company. You'll also have an opportunity to meet and speak with eight published authors who will share their experiences of what a book has done for their business.

The Business of Becoming an Author event was designed with you in mind. If you're on this page you most likely fall into one of these categories:

  • A thought leader and an expert in your industry looking to go further
  • Considered writing a book but don't know where to start
  • Already wrote a draft and want to learn more about publishing
  • Started writing your book but don't know the next step
  • Already published a book but struggling to make something of it

At the Business of Becoming an Author event you will learn:

  • A better understanding of what it takes to publish a book.
  • How to make your book a powerful and profitable part of your brand.
  • The ins and the outs of the writing process.
  • What the next step is for your book.

This event was built to help you with your needs, no matter what those needs are. While you're snacking and networking with other innovators and leaders, you'll get a chance to hear from experienced publishing industry professionals from the PYP Team. In attendance will be:

  • CEO & Founder, Jenn T. Grace
  • Marketing Manager, Taylor Beaven
  • Business Manager, Cameron Grace
  • Editor, Karen Ang

At the Business of Becoming an Author event you'll meet:

  • Authors that know how difficult it is to take the words in your head and put them on paper.
