Event description
Learn how to write a creative brief that inspires creatives to deliver superior work that aligns with your brand vision & engages consumers.

About this Event

If you're a small business owner, you likely rely upon freelancers and small agencies to create your designs and marketing communications. If you don't properly prepare for these type of engagements, they can quickly fill with frustrating and contentious moments.

The #1 cause for this is poor planning by the client and not properly briefing the creative person/team on their communication strategy and brand goals. When you fail to provide this information, creatives are left to pursue ideas and curiosities on their own. This is often the most expensive way to work. It wastes time and demoralizes creatives because their ideas get shot down and they have to do the work all over again.

In this workshop, we'll teach attendees how to write a strong, one-page creative brief that succinctly summarizes all the information your creative team needs to perform their work and deliver ideas that align with your brand vision.

The best way to increase your odds of getting stunning work that works, is to inspire your creatives while communicating important constraints. When you do this properly, your creatives will be more motivated to do great work...and you'll likely see work you're ready to buy.

Key Discussion Topics:

  • Framing what needs to be done.
  • What creatives want to know about your target customer.
  • Understanding consumer insight and how to uncover fresh insight.
  • How to write a strong Single-Minded-Proposition--the ONE thing the ad must clearly communicate.
  • How to judge creative work using your creative brief.
  • How to use Creative Leadership skills to become a dream client for your creatives.
