The Bridge Center is truly an amazing place full of possibilities for those interested in a career helping children and young adults with challenges. There are many career paths to explore during this tour. Visit the horse barn and meet the beautiful and very special horses used for the therapeutic horseback riding program.
The Bridge Center is a non-profit, recreational facility for children and young adults with physical and cognitive challenges. The Bridge Center provides therapeutic recreation to thousands of individuals on a year-round basis. Learn about their Therapeutic Horseback Riding and Hypnotherapy programs.
The tour includes an overview of the services provided at the facility, the types of careers working with special populations and an overview of the education and training required for the careers. The careers discussed include: Special Education, Art, Music and Adaptive Physical Education teaching; teaching assistants; physical and occupational therapists; program directors; development & fundraising specialist; equine management; food service and nutrition; and groundskeepers.
