Description

CONTENT: The Brain, the Breath and the Heart (BBH) is an innovative curriculum that integrates evidence-based benefits of mindfulness, yoga, SEL, peace studies and the latest in neuroscience. You will learn the importance of Breath Literacy for optimal learning, academic achievement, heightened personal well-being and a productive, happy and healthy classroom environment. BBH utilizes knowledge and practices from ancient and contemporary wisdom, incorporating principles, techniques and science.


CLASSROOM OBJECTIVES: Learn powerful, fun techniques to easily implement in 20 seconds to 10 minute blocks of time throughout the day.

• Experience how the breath changes the brain
• Cultivate mindfulness
• Aid self-regulation
• Promote healthy relationships
• Heighten executive functions for reasoning, decision making & problem solving
• Augment overall academic performance
• Enhance classroom environment

MEET Laurie: As director of Breathe The Change LLC, and co-founder of the 501C3 non-profit BreathLogic®, Laurie has a vision for a Breath Literacy Curriculum to be taught in all schools: K – University, worldwide. As a certified SHIFT Peace Ambassador she is impassioned by breath awareness and practices as a means to cultivate inner and international peace.

An author, speaker, travel guide, yoga teacher and trainer she has taught the Power of Breath to thousands of people on five continents. Some Twin Cities & International schools include teachers and /or students from: Highlands Elementary School, Edina; Washington Technology Magnet School, St. Paul; Harvest Preparatory School, Minneapolis; Colegio Roosevelt, Lima Peru; Cairo American College, Cairo, Egypt; (KAUST) Thuwal, Saudi Arabia and American Embassy School New Delhi, India.
