The Brain & Learning: Implications for Children with Disabilities

In this workshop participants will learn about different parts of the brain and their role in learning and retention. With this knowledge, the workshop will then focus on a few of the most common disabilities and how they may manifest during the learning process. The session will conclude with some strategies to consider when working with children with disabilites.

The mission of Brighton Center’s Educational Series for Professionals is to provide education to professionals working with families with children with delays, physical, cognitive or emotional disabilities in our community. This educational series is specifically focused toward agencies working to help clients with disabilities reach their full potential through learning opportunities that are relevant and easily transferred into the workplace.
