The Hour of Code™ is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries, and it’s happening December 5-8 at the Brain Exchange in Omaha! Every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science. It helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity. By starting early, students will have a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path.
December 5 - Fun with Robotics & Spheros - 3 sessions available
December 6 - Introduction to GarageBand - 3 sessions available
December 7 - Storyboarding & Programming with Alice - 3 sessions available
December 8 - Web Page Design - 2 sessions available
Demand is expected to be high, so make sure you register early and have a ticket. Parents are welcome to participate as well, and will need their own ticket. Sessions run 60-90 minutes, are introductory in nature, and are based on interest and ability – not grade or age.
To be successful, participants need to be able to read English text and understand simple, mathematical functions. For GarageBand sessions, participants will need to bring their own earbuds or headphones.
