Event description
Ever wanted an MFA degree but weren't sure if it was worth the time and money? Come learn how to become a better poet without the expense.

About this Event

Ever thought about obtaining an MFA degree but weren't sure if it was worth the time and money? Join poets Sayuri Ayers and Rikki Santer for a very special workshop that will show you how to develop your skills as a poet without the expense of attending graduate school. Poets look for ways to hone their craft and to establish themselves creatively. An MFA is an excellent option, but there are other paths to a satisfying writing life.

In this workshop, participants will discuss their goals as poets and the many ways of establishing a successful writing routine. Topics covered include how to use readily available resources to improve and publish work, and to connect with other poets. Participants also will engage in writing prompts and activities. Participants will receive a handmade booklet and other resources.

This workshop will offer methods and free resources available online and in the northwestern Ohio community. Check the OPA website for complete event details and follow us on Facebook.

Workshop co-sponsored by Ohio Poetry Association, Art & Performance Center of West Toledo, and Toledo Poet.
