Begin your own personal body kindness project. Join us for a special 6-session series that includes discussion, journaling, yoga, art, and support from a likeminded group of individuals who want to create a kind relationship with their bodies.
This series is appropriate for anyone who wants to explore how to be kind to their bodies. Whether you struggle with body image because of your past, weight, race, size, ability, aging, illness, or more, we invite you to join us. No yoga experience is necessary. Our intention for this group is to build community and a support system throughout the series.

Themes we will explore include
• How do I relate to my body?
• How do I talk to my body?
• How do my emotions affect my body image?
• How does my body image affect my emotions?
• How can we use yoga to help us be kind our bodies?
• What’s the difference between tolerance, acceptance, respect, love, and kindness?
• How do we move forward with kindness?
In this series, we will
• practice yoga asana, breathwork, meditation, visualization
• use the arts to express ourselves
• share in confidential supportive discussions
• journal for reflection
• Six (6) 90-minute group sessions
• Private Facebook group for support and motivation
• Optional 1x1 yoga therapy sessions with Kanjana or Jennifer at a reduced rate
• Private party at Painting With A Twist for our last session
Pay in advance for all 6 sessions and get one session for free: $200
Pay as you go: $40/session
Receipts can be provided for insurance reimbursement at the request of participant.
Time and Dates
Our group will meet at YogaLife Institute in Wayne, PA, from 1 to 2:30 PM on January 29, February 26, March 26, April 23, and May 21.
We will meet at Painting with a Twist in Havertown, PA on June, 25, 2016.
*To ensure continuity of the group and to allow for safe, deeper discussions, this is a closed and confidential group. Registration is due by January 29. We will not accept new group members after this date.

Jennifer Kreatsoulas, PhD, E-RYT 200, RYT 500, is a yoga teacher and yoga therapist specializing in eating disorders and body image. In recovery herself, Jennifer is extremely passionate about helping others reconnect with their bodies and be empowered in their lives. In addition to her private yoga therapy practice, Jennifer also teaches yoga at the Monte Nido Eating Disorder Center of Philadelphia and is a partner with the Yoga and Body Image Coalition. She leads trauma-sensitive yoga classes at Balanced Nutrition & Yoga in Newtown Square, PA, and teaches weekly flow yoga classes at Verge Yoga in Wayne, PA. Kanjana Rajaratnam Hartshorne, LCSW, RYT500, is a licensed psychtherapist, yoga teacher, and yoga therapist. In her private practice at the YogaLife Institute in Wayne she offers an evidence-based blend of traditional Western psychotherapy and the tools and lens of Eastern Comprehensive Yoga Therapy to address issues across the lifespan. She also teaches a weekly donation-based trauma-sensitive yoga class in West Chester, offers private yoga therapy support groups, and hosts Paint Your Own Yoga Mat and other yoga, art, & therapy workshops across the Mainline.
