Event description
A lively discussion of what makes a great opening number in a musical, plus Broadway Name That Tune!

About this Event

What makes a truly great opening number in a musical? What are the best opening numbers of all time? Which opening numbers do we need to rediscover?

And while we're talking about that, shouldn't we take a few breaks to play Broadway Name That Tune?

We'll be discussing all this with Itamar Moses (a Tony Award-winner for The Band's Visit) and Adam Grosswirth (Member Services Director at the National Alliance for Musical Theatre).

You'll get to lend your thoughts to this conversation, and you'll ALSO get to play a few rounds of Broadway Name That Tune. Either way, it's time to brush up on your Hairspray and your Hamilton.
