Event description

Description

Director James Redford’s highly-acclaimed HBO film, The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia, provides personal and uplifting accounts of the dyslexic experience from children, experts, and iconic leaders. The Big Picture not only clears up misconceptions about dyslexia but also paints a picture of hope for all who struggle with it.

After the film, Brenda Fitzgerald, Ed.S, will facilitate the audience discussion. Attendees are invited to stay after the group discussion to enjoy refreshments and the opportunity to speak with representatives from the International Dyslexia Association Georgia, Decoding Dyslexia Georgia, North Fulton KID, and Mill Springs Academy.

Outreach events such as this provide opportunities for individuals to connect in person with parents, educators, and others interested in learning and engaging in discussions about dyslexia and related topics.

This outreach event will be held at Mill Springs Academy (www.millsprings.org) in Alpharetta, GA. Outreach events are free and open to the public.
