Event description

"Earth Mother, you who are called by a thousand names. May all remember we are cells in your body and dance together." -- Starhawk

The Earth is all of our home planet and our common, sacred ground that unites us all. The environmental crisis is the great adverstiy initiating us into remembrance of this universal truth so that we can make the leap into Unity Consciousness and fulfill prophecies the world over, from the Mayan calendar to the visions of the rise of the Rainbow Warriors that will see a united front of humantiy converging to save the environment and live in harmony and lasting peace. This is the most heroic journey and one that has sparked the greatest movement in our story as a species. It also draws us to revive the great mythologies of the Goddess and reclamations of all the wisdoms of nature, from natural healing methods to the bio-mystical intelligence of the body itself. To be in allegiance to the Earth changes everything and restores beauty unparalleled to our lives. We ultimately abide in the belief that every day is Earth Day so on this day let us amp it up all the way!

“Because the relationship between self and world is reciprocal, it is not a matter of first getting enlightened or saved and then acting. As we work to heal the Earth, the Earth heals us. No need to wait. As we care enough to take risks, we loosen the grip of ego and begin to come home to our true nature.” -- Joanna Macy

Celebrate with us as we being in gathering circle to drink of the sacred and heart-sparking medicine of Cacao (raw chocolate), aiming ourselves in collective intention and merriment. We will then bridle to the ancient transformational technology of dance as a set of stunning worldbeat music rouses our global consciousness, sharing music from diverse traditions the world over. In the dance, we embark on a journey through the four elements, beginning with the slow-flows of WATER, into the rhythmic swells of EARTH, to the culimating passion of FIRE and the spiritual whimsy of AIR. We will then ground in an EPIC Crystal Bowl Soundbath to restore us and offer us to the delicious currents of total serenity where many revelations may be received from the adventures of our healing dance. We will close in circle to lift our voices in a collective chant of devotion to the Earth, sharing our love to be sprinkled over the Earth and raise the vibration of the city in immense convergence! We are also thrilled to have our first Big Love in the celestial space of Beach United Church!

We will also feature a team of wondrous healers who will offer their gifts to support anyone in need or if you simply need respite. We will also have delicious and wholesome treats available for purchase. We will also be having some special musical guests. More details forthcoming so stay attuned! Hymn to Gaia

Mother of all

foundation of all,

the oldest one.

I shall sing to earth,

She feeds everything

that is in the world

Whoever you are

whether you live upon her sacred ground

or whether you live along the path of the sea.

You that fly

it is she

who nourishes you

from her treasure store

Queen of Earth

through you

Beautiful children,

beautiful harvest

the giving of life

and the taking of life

both are yours.

Happy is the man you honor

the one who has this

has everything.

His fields thick with ripe corn,

his cattle grow heavy in the pasture

his house brims over with good things

These are the men who are masters of their cities

The laws are just, the women are fair

happiness & fortune richly follow them.

Their sons delight

In the ecstasy of youth

Their daughters play

they dance among the flowers

slapping in & out

they dance on the grass

over soft flowers.

Holy goddess, you

honour them

ever flowing spirit.

Mother of the gods,

bride of heaven

sparkling with stars

For my song, life

allow me

loved of the heart.

and in my other songs

I shall remember you.
