Echoing Green

Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (EDT)

Event Details

Echoing Green's rigorous six-month selection process will culminate at our Big Bold Benefit on May 5, 2011, when we will meet 30 finalists for the Echoing Green Fellowship, chosen from a record 2,854 applications from 117 countries. Join us for an evening that promises equal doses of suspense and inspiration, as select finalists take the stage to pitch their innovative ideas for social change.

George Stephanopolous

George Stephanopoulos - Anchor of ABC’s Good Morning America and the network’s chief political correspondent - will facilitate an interactive program featuring pitches by half of the finalists. Over more than a decade at ABC News, Stephanopoulos has played a pivotal role in the network’s coverage of breaking news stories.  Prior to joining ABC News he served in the Clinton administration as the senior adviser to the President for policy and strategy.

All proceeds from the Big Bold Benefit will go toward supporting the 2011 Class of Echoing Green Fellows. For more information regarding sponsorships, ticket packages, or journal ads please contact Corie Pope: or 646-539-2418.

Echoing Green

For nearly 30 years, Echoing Green has unleashed next-generation talent to solve the world’s biggest problems. These leaders, who spend their lives working with purpose, define their generations; they make society better.

Echoing Green continues to build a global community of emerging leaders–more than 700 and growing–who launched Teach For America, City Year, One Acre Fund, SKS Microfinance, and more. Whether it’s through our Fellowships or our other innovative leadership initiatives, we unleash unexpected potential by tracking down the best and the brightest leaders, bringing them together, and launching them on a path to success.

We drive social progress further, faster.
