Slovak Ambassador to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Ľubomír Rehák, will be the guest speaker at the British Czech and Slovak Association’s annual dinner which will take place on Friday 25th November at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, BloomsburyStreet, London WC1.
Ambassador Rehák took up his appointment in London in August 2015, and his talk - coinciding with Slovakia’s Presidency of the Council of the EU during the latter half of 2016, and following Britain's having voted in its recent referendum to leave the EU – will have a fascinating backdrop.
The annual dinner, a highight of the BCSA’s social calendar, provides a fantastic opportunity to spend a fun evening with old friends, to make new friends and to meet like-minded people. Czech beer and Moravian wine will be on the menu. Lucky raffle prize winners will enjoy top quality prizes, including stays for two at leading spa resorts.
The main purpose of the evening is for anyone with an interest in the Czech and Slovak Republics to meet up in a friendly and supportive atmosphere; you can request seating at a table with your friends or, if you are a newcomer to the BCSA and London, you can be assured of a very warm welcome.
