Event description
An engaging lunch discussion with the Hon. Art Eggleton as he explores the Basics of Basic Income.

About this Event

We wish to extend a special invitation to our lunch meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 25th. In this meeting, our Member, Former Senator, and Toronto’s longest-serving Mayor, The Hon. Art Eggleton will lead a discussion based on his book: THE POVERTY, INEQUALITY, AND JOB CHALLENGE: THE CASE FOR BASIC INCOME. The book explores The Basics of Basic Income, also known as Guaranteed Annual Income (GAI) or Basic Income Guarantee (BIG). It is an income security measure to help people escape or avoid poverty and to provide for themselves and their families the necessities of food, clothing, and decent accommodation.

We look forward to seeing you and hope you can join us as we seek to shine a much-needed light on an issue that affects our city’s most vulnerable.

Please RSVP at info@torontokiwanis.ca by: Friday, September 20, 2019.

Tickets are also available at the door.
