EVENT UPDATE: Friends: It is with an abundance of caution that we have decided to postpone the Pan Asian Economic Development Dinner on Thursday August 19 in Virginia Beach. We will continue to monitor the spread of the virus variant in local Virginia region such as the Hampton Roads. We will continue to host this similar event in Arlington on September 8th from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm but will continue to tract the health risks and update event status on event website below.

THE BASH 757 is back as VACC's signature networking event allowing you to connect with each other’s to benefit you in several ways, from gaining new perspectives that spark business growth or to bouncing ideas off with regional influencers and policy makers on all critical topics of interest to the growing Hampton Roads Region!
THE BASH connectors, regional policy makers, government, and business leaders from the 757 region will be joining entrepreneurs and service connectors in attendance.

Dr. Joel Bundy, MD, Chief Quality and Safety Officer,
SENTARA HEALTH SERVICES
Dr. Joel Thomas Bundy is the Chief Quality and Safety Officer for Sentara Healthcare. Previously he has served as Vice President of Medical Affairs for both Sentara Leigh and Sentara CarePlex hospitals, and as a Nephrologist since 1994. He has served as President of the Medical Staff at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center and President of the Chesapeake Medical Society and remains very active in the Medical Society of Virginia, currently is a director for the district, and also as past-chair of the MSVPAC and MSVIA boards. He is currently a delegate from Virginia to the American Medical Association. His interest in healthcare policy steered him to participate in programs with the Sorensen Institute and AMPAC. He is passionate about quality and is a Master Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean practitioner through training at Villanova University.
Dr. Bundy was commissioned to the United States Navy in 1984 and subsequently served as a General Medical Officer at Cecil Field NAS in Jacksonville, Florida and then at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth until 1997. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology, and the American Association for Physician Leadership, and is a Certified Physician Executive through the Certifying Commission in Medical Management. He earned his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in North Carolina and his bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University in Florida. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at the University of Florida, University of California San Francisco, and at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
Currently he is completing a Masters in Healthcare Quality and Safety Management at Thomas Jefferson University.
His free time is involved in love of all things William Shakespeare, Akira Kurosawa and John Coltrane, as well as trying his hand as a gentleman farmer and jazz trumpeter.
