Event description

At Catamount Expeditions, we know that we can’t always get up and go when adventure calls. Often, between work and family life, there just isn’t time enough in the day. Maybe an injury or “falling off” our physical training has left us with some work to do to safely engage our dream expeditions. These are things we recognize as part of life, and we don’t mind waiting for the right time with you to get you where you want to go.

But what we absolutely hate to see is a well-deserving human financially incapable of making the right trip at the right time. Whether it’s a college student getting his or her first glimpse of the world or a single mother who has sacrificed all she has and more for her children, a veteran seeking some transitional peace or a working man who needs some renewal- regardless of the end of the spectrum, Catamount Expeditions wants to help.

Brett Barron was a memorable part of every Catamount Games event and our first overseas expedition. Through his infectious laughter, affectionate ribbing, and quiet encouragement, Brett touched the lives of countless athletes and adventurers. He was a staple at each campfire and the rhythm of so many conversations. He voraciously pursued the world around him, and he accepted nothing less of the dreamers he met. Although his spirit escaped into the mountains in the summer of 2018, it continues to move Catamount Expeditions to practice what it preaches.

In his honor, our scholarship fund seeks to give a Catamount Expeditions experience to any adventurer who needs a little help getting started on their journey. All proceeds will go to covering the cost of one preplanned, international CE expedition for a qualified applicant. We’re in the business of the human experience. If we can give one human the experience that puts the spark back in their humanity, we have truly succeeded in our goals.

Please consider designating a contribution today. Thank you!
