The Balance Method is a highly effective channel-based method of Acupuncture that can be used along with any other method of Acupuncture or as a stand-alone system. The Balance Method is also a clear system of acupuncture based on the I Ching, Nei Jing and Nan Ching– the classics of Chinese philosophy and Chinese medicine. David will explain The Balance Method using those classic texts.
The class content includes:
• History of I Ching, Eight Trigrams and Ba Gua
• Learn the original theories of The Balance Method.
• Ba Gua theory explaining the pairings of ZangFu and the Six Channels.
• Anatomical Balance Points will be explained with I Ching and Nei Jing theory (Ling Shu chapter 7, Nine Needles and more), this is the strategic basis of selecting distal points.
• One, Two and Four needle treatments will be presented for pain.
• Learn to use I Ching Acupuncture for treating internal organ conditions.
• Emphasis is centered on practical, clinical applications. Effective, simple point selection methods are presented, you will be able to apply them immediately in practice.

Dr. David Twicken learned I Ching Acupuncture and the Balance Method directly from the founder Dr. Chao Chen, and his son Yu Chen, L.Ac. A faculty member at Chinese Medical Schools since 1994, David has taught Acupuncture courses, Philosophy of Oriental Medicine, Tai Chi Chuan, Medical Qi Gong, Feng Shui, I Ching, Chinese Astrology, Medical History, Eight Extraordinary Channels and Secondary Vessels. David specializes in the Taoist Arts and has written a variety of books, including I Ching Acupuncture, The Balance Method, Eight Extraordinary Channels, Divergent Channels, Luo Channels, Clinical Point Selection, Flying Stars Feng Shui, Chinese Astrology and Introduction to Qi Men Dun Jia.
