The Arts in Urban Planning & Development
Event Information
About this Event
Join us for this thought-provoking panel discussion exploring how the arts can play a central role in new development and revitalization projects in our cities.
The inclusion of the arts in urban development and planning in our communities is imperative. Artists can speak to issues of sustainability and equity. They can call attention to the often invisible infrastructure and engage surrounding communities.
How can government and community leadership make it a priority that developers seek efficient ways to produce projects that can be integrated into the local, cultural and educational needs of our cities. Increasing the connection of artist involvement in urban development and policy deepens the relationship between artist and government.
