Heidi Miller Lowell has 12 years experience working in the field of education. She attended the University of Texas here in Austin and studied Applied Learning and Development. She served Executive Education Director at the University Inter-Cooperatie Council, worked as a sumer camp director, art teacher in public schools, and 3rd grade classroom as well as living in an art guild during that time.
Unlike most art teachers, Heidi has studied pedagogy and brain development exstensively. She travels for state and national art conferences each year to keep up on the most current research, and plans to speak at the National Art Education Association conference in 2015. She is excited to use art to teach students reading, writing, social skills, and creativity at The Artery.
