Our Mission

The mission of Dress for Success® is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Our Vision
Our vision is a world where women do not live in poverty; are treated with dignity and respect; and are strengthening their families and shaping their communities.

About Dress for Success Quad Cities

We are part of an international nonprofit started in 1997 in New York City. Since then, Dress for Success has expanded to almost 150 cities in 20 countries. To date, Dress for Success has helped nearly one million women work towards self-sufficiency.

The Quad Cities affiliate began serving women in the Suiting Program in November 2011. Since then, with the help of hundreds of volunteers and generous financial support from the community, they have provided nearly 1000 local women with free professional attire for their interviews and new jobs. They've helped over 75 women gain free monthly professional development and opportunities to expand their network of support through a unique job-retention program called the Professional Women's Group, now in its fifth year. Finally, a Career Success Center rounds out the continuum of services and offers access to expert resume reviews, mock interview practice and essential resources for active job-seekers.

More importantly, Dress for Success offers women confidence and hope for a brighter future for themselves and the children who depend upon them. When you lift a woman out of poverty, a cascading positive effect ripples out into our community and across our world.
