During the Harlem Renaissance — the black social, cultural and intellectual awakening of the 1920s and 1930s — Harlem Salons were the quintessential gatherings of the nation’s most gifted and creative black writers, artists, musicians and thinkers.
Using the intimacy of a yet to be announced uniquely transformed performance location, this third installment of our Harlem Renaissance Centennial series will recreate that truly magical time, for one special weekend, with an unforgettable presentation in music and words under the direction of Damien Sneed.
