Description

How are you at setting boundaries? How are you at keeping those boundaries?

Most of us know how to set boundaries, we understand the need to maintain boundaries, and we desire to have strong boundaries but....we just can't say no!

When we effectively set boundaries with others it can have a huge impact on our ability to do our best work. Boundaries are important to have in successful relationships, with our friends and loved ones. Examples of setting boundaries are telling people what we want and letting them know what is acceptable. When they are set well it helps us take better care of ourselves, maintain self-respect, and increase our ability to control our work and personal lives. We must practice and understand that there are times when NO is the right answer.

In organizations, when managing staff or just interacting with coworkers, one of the most difficult things for many of us is to tell others what we need from them and staying with those decisions. Effective boundary setting can increase productivity, teamwork, morale, and the bottom line.

IN our personal relationships, boundaries can be used effectively to avoid feelings of resentment, neglect and those nagging feelings that we are being taken advantage of.

In this experiential and interactive workshop you will focus on the true definition of boundaries, learn some tips on maintaining our boundaries, discuss the roadblocks to holding firm, and understand how to share your boundaries in a way that doesn't come across as uncaring or selfish.

The session will also be an opportunity to discuss boundary issues that you or others have experienced
