Description

Join Montserrat College of Art professors Stacy and Len Thomas-Vickory, and Salem State University professor Haig Demarjian as they share the various techniques and unique expressive qualities of traditional printmaking processes. The excitement of cutting and gouging (woodcut), dissolving metal in acid (etching), forcing ink through fine mesh (screenprint) and printing from a slab of limestone (lithography) will all be presented and discussed. The artists will show printing plates, blocks and screens as well as examples of their work.
