The San Benito County Arts Council presents our third annual The Art of Eating: A Farm to Table Benefit for the Arts, featuring Sarah Leigh McFall of Thyme Catering and Becky Herbert of the Farmhouse Cafe, for a 4-course plein air dinner in the gorgeous surroundings of Paicines Ranch. This event blends the worlds of art, culture, agriculture and community through the art of eating.

This year’s dinner will take place from 5-8 pm Sunday, July 21st at Paicines Ranch, featuring locally-sourced food & wine, live music, a farm talk by Paicines Ranch owner, Sallie Calhoun, and more. Proceeds from the event benefit our Arts in Education Program, which brings the arts to over 6,000 local students every year. At the Arts Council, we believe that every student has the right to a quality arts education, and through events like this, we can continue to build the next generation of creative thinkers, innovators, entrepreneurs and community leaders right here in our own backyard.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes, attendees must be 21+.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

FROM HOLLISTER:

  • Go 10-12 more miles on Highway 25- past Ridgemark golf course, Tres Pinos (speed limit 35), then past Bolado Park (county fairgrounds).
  • Approx. 1 mile after you get to Paicines (general store on left) you will turn right on Cienega Road (about 10-12 miles from when you first entered Hollister).
  • Cienega Road runs directly and immediately into the ranch driveway. Do NOT follow Cienega after it turns left - the ranch gate is immediately in front of you.
  • There is plenty of parking near the event activities.

What can I bring into the event?

Bring your own artistic plate! Attendees are advised to wear sensible shoes due to the ground unevenness and a sweater, shawl or light jacket for the evening.

What if I forget to bring my own plate?

Not to worry, we will have extra plates on standby.

What's the refund policy?

Refunds are given up to 30 days before the event.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we have all of your information on our guest list.

Do I need to bring cash to the event?

Yes, that is advised since we will have raffle items. Personal checks are also accepted.

I have dietary restrictions. Will I be able to eat the food?

Yes, we will have dairy-free, gluten-free and vegetarian options. Please contact us if you have questions about the menu at 831.636.2787.
