Event description
The 16oz. Canvas in partnership with the All Roads Hub is proud to announce The Art of Craft Beer: HUBBUB coming to Bridgton, Maine.

About this Event

We here at The 16oz. Canvas are happy to announce our second ‘The Art of Craft Beer’ event taking place the weekend of September 28th and 29th in Bridgton, Maine at the new All Roads HUB, Community Market & Event Space. Our event entitled “The Art of Craft Beer – Hubbub” will expand upon the success we had last year in New Haven, CT while evolving the theme and offerings to our patrons. In adding to our vision; we have teamed up with local designer & entrepreneur William Holmes. Whose local adventures include STANDARD GASTROPUB, which offers a delicious and exciting menu of scratch made and responsibly sourced food to complement a large, hand curated, continuously revolving tap, can, and bottle list with nearly 300 of the best craft beer offerings in the country.

Each week we have featured a different artist or designer who brings our favorite beers and breweries to life through their designs, branding and creations on and off the can(vas). With over 120 episodes and counting we have been able to showcase individuals and the respective breweries from over a dozen countries outside of the US, which has allowed this project to expand our vision and showcase the creativity and skills of so many amazing individuals worldwide. Artists new and old appear on the show to share their experiences and insights at various stages of their careers to help paint a more robust picture of the life and trials of being an artist and designer. Common themes of hard work, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit are staples of each episode. All of our interviews are genuine, honest and simple discussions between strangers who learn about each other and the human spirit through a common connection and appreciation of art and life.

The goal of ‘The Art of Craft Beer’ events is to flip the traditional beer fest or event model on its head by making the artists the focal point of the experience. All of our artists will have the space to showcase their works to meet their creative vision. They will include but won’t be limited to labels. Previous events have shown early sketches as well as unique designs and staging to accentuate their style. These are truly unique experiences that continue to evolve through a willingness to collaborate together as a community and support each other. Live music, art, delicious food and an impressive craft beer selection will make this destination event a memorable experience.

Maine is a wonderfully special place for us that we have made part of our annual family traditions. It is a staple that is loved by members young and old. The people, food, beer and visual joy that Vacationland brings to us is part of the fuel that drives us in all aspects of our lives. When we connected with Will a couple of years ago it was that shared appreciation for Maine, food, beer, and life that created our deep bond and also gave a unique insight into the local community. Creativity and hard work are what the small businesses thrive on here in Southern Maine; and they do it together with an interlocking support and comradery that I have not seen in many places in my lifetime.

The All Roads HUB is part of Will’s larger vision. It represents the intersection of culture & community. From agriculture to art; they seek to provide a space within which creative small businesses can thrive. Enjoying access and achieving scalability through shared workspace, flexible footprints for production and sales, common area commercial kitchen and equipment; will help to enable a vibrant blend of business types to flourish both together and independently.
