Description

As part of their Culture Break Artist Talks, The Betsy – South Beach presents a new series, The Art of Book Making, for their 2017-18 Season. An exploration of what defines “book” in the art world, presenters from various disciplines have been invited to share their own book-making, from collections of works presented in a book, to vintage, hand-made books, to the book being the work of art through unexpected and new creations.

The second conversation in the series, Publishers Perspectives, will feature Jai-Alai Books Founder, P. Scott Cunningham, Steve Sains, Founder of Dale Zines, Arlo Haskell of Sand Paper Press, and Ausbert de Arce, founder of Taschen America and Assouline Publications.

Talks in the series include:

  • History & Global Perspectives
  • Publisher Perspectives
  • Editor Perspectives
  • Visual Artists
  • Border Crossing
  • DIY
  • Book Selling
  • Book Sharing

The event is free and open to the community, but you must REGISTER to attend.
