Our 2022 Convention theme is The Power of Family! The Arc’s biggest strength has always been in our family network. Families were the founders of The Arc over 70 years ago. The term “family” is often defined as blood relatives, but the term encompasses so much more for us. The Arc family includes many Marylanders with disabilities who receive our direct supports, but also includes relatives, friends, our partners, and other committed citizens who, together, create a near-endless family unit that wraps around one another in times of both struggle and celebration.

This is your chance to connect with the community and learn about topics in exciting areas like Health and Lifestyle, Life in the Community, Advocacy, and Family Milestones during Breakout Sessions led by subject experts from across the state.

COVID/Health Safety Plan:

The Arc Maryland is committed to providing an inviting and safe environment for attendees and as such we will be following the guidance. Attendees are asked to complete a COVID test prior to coming to the convention. Masks are also encouraged for attendees at the venue. We will be operating under enhanced cleaning protocols for surface sanitation, air handling (in cooperation with the venue, which has installed advanced air handling filtration systems), and have organized the event with lower than usual registration capacity limits, 8-person seating at the awards banquet (previously 10 per table) and recommended traffic patterns at the venue for exhibitor hall and transitions between breakout sessions. We will have free masks available onsite in addition to hand sanitizers in all common areas.

All participants must be fully vaccinated in accordance with the CDC definition. Someone is fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-shot series, such as the PfizerBioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as the J&J/Janssen vaccine. By submitting payment for the convention agencies are attesting to compliance with this requirement for their attendees.
